Our story

Here at ZingiTT, we’re on a mission! All those super-clever, academic, scientist-type bods who’ve done research into how children learn and how to help them succeed – well, they all agree on one thing. When parents engage with their children’s education and learning, those children are more likely to:

  • Achieve well in their academic work
  • Have positive attitudes and goals for education

This is really huge news, and it’s huge news because it means that it’s not about how educated you are, it’s not about how well-off you are and it’s not about how much private tutoring you can afford to provide. No. It’s about how much we, as parents, get involved with our children’s education.

Unfortunately, it’s not always easy to get involved with our children’s education these days, is it? It often seems like there are so many barriers preventing us from helping the way we want to - the confusing ‘school-speak’, the lack of confidence, personal anxieties about our own time at school … and many others.

Brought to you by TT Digital, part of the TT Education family

In 2013, we launched TT Education, now the UK's leading school improvement organisation, working with schools, academies and trusts to improve the quality of children's education. Everything we do is underpinned by the belief that every child has the right to a good education.

Over the years, we’ve worked with over 100,000 teachers in the UK and beyond. Through our work with schools, influencing the livers of over 2 million children. In 2019 we were delighted to be recognised for the quality of our work with schools through the award of School Improvement Provider of the Year, for the second year in a row!

Bringing ZingiTT to life

So one day towards the end of 2018, a group of us parents and educators from TT Education (slightly on a high after winning School Improvement Provider of the Year 2018) sat down together and talked this through. Knowing that there were things that stopped parents being able to provide life-enhancing support to their children at this crucial stage of their development – well, it just didn’t seem fair. As passionate believers in the power of high- quality training in schools, this set our brains to work. How could we go one step further and take our training skills outside the classroom to support the people who work the hardest to help children – their parents? So us passionate folk worked day and night (okay, mostly day) to create ZingiTT!

Towards the end of 2018, David gave us the go-ahead to develop ZingiTT, Conor filmed himself breaking down the school-speak and generating ideas to support parents. Betsy worked tirelessly with parents of different-aged children to understand exactly what they would want. Camilla worked on our new ZingiTT brand and design. And Jo? Jo took charge of all that techie stuff that would allow ZingiTT to come to life.

Some short weeks later, ZingiTT was ready to launch. ZingiTT's bank of short video clips are packed with fun, easy games, advice and tips to support parents everywhere to connect with their children’s learning. Why not come and join us on our journey?
